New information leaked on exact destination for plutonium shipment

Inside the Napoleon Basin

Greenpeace has learned this evening from reliable sources that the plutonium cargo ships will in fact unload their cargo in the Napoleon III Basin inside the military arsenal in Cherbourg. A special crane is being assembled in preparation for unloading the nuclear cargo.

This follows a Greenpeace action two weeks ago where Greenpeace activists entered the military arsenal to protest the planned shipment of U.S. plutonium. The activists arriving in canoes evaded French Gendarmarie boats and hung a ‘Stop Plutonium' banner along the 'secure' military dock.
